Meet our team
Alfonso Mancera, Executive Director
Alfonso has channeled his energy and passion into prison ministry, firmly believing that the criminal justice system is ineffective. He argues that prisons are designed more to deter crime than to rehabilitate offenders. His dedication to prison missions, rooted in his Christian faith, forms the foundation of his organization, as he strives to illustrate the transformative nature of faith.
Having experienced a significant personal transformation while incarcerated for drug-related charges, Alfonso now focuses on sharing his testimony with other inmates. His favorite saying is, "Where you are I was; where I am you can be," which he uses to inspire hope and foster change among inmates and their families. With over 35 years of experience in prison ministry, he is integral to every aspect of the organization, from developing spiritual programs to managing outreach and technology efforts, all aimed at spreading the love of Christ to those in need.
Alfonso also feels that the church has a responsibility to engage more in prison ministry, as many do not view it as part of their mission. He believes there is a significant opportunity for churches to learn how to serve the Lord through this ministry, and part of his vision is to help congregations get involved through THE SEED.

Currently, she is developing Joel's House, a youth empowerment center aimed at providing a safe space for teenagers through counseling and mentoring.
